Graduation Regalia Rental

Description

The Undergraduate Student Government is partnering with the Monda Student Resource Center to offer an undergraduate regalia rental program. If you are a graduate student, please see the Council of Graduate Students page for information regarding their lending library.

This program aims to increase undergraduate student participation in University commencement through a free rental of academic regalia (i.e. cap and gown).

Eligibility 

Undergraduate OSU students who have applied and are approved to graduate for the current semester are eligible to apply for the regalia rental program.

Request Form and Selection  

The undergraduate regalia rental request period has concluded.
If you are still in need of a cap/gown please email sl-msrc@osu.edu to discuss available resources.

Timeline for Spring 2026 Commencement 

Applications to apply for the regalia rental program will go live Friday April 3. Selection and determination will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Completing the request form does not guarantee availability. Your request will be reviewed by a team member of the graduation regalia program and you will be contacted no later than April 17.

Upon confirmation, pick-up for your cap and gown may occur on Tuesday April 21, April 28 or May 5 during normal MSRC operating hours.

Rented regalia is to be returned back to the Monda Student Resource center cleaned and undamaged by no later than May 28. Regalia may be returned by the user, designated contact or mailed to the MSRC at cost to the student.
