Ensuring No Buckeye’s Essential Needs Go Unmet

The Office of Student Life's Monda Student Resource Center (MSRC) provides support for students' essential needs in a one-stop location. Ohio State has many university programs and community partnerships to meet essential needs of students; the MSRC pulls these resources together in one place for ease of access.

In the center, students will find an on-campus food pantry, free hygiene products, professional clothing and more. Staff from the Student Advocacy Center, Student Financial Aid, Student Life Disability Services and various community partners are available to meet with students both in-person and virtually. The MSRC is strategically located in the Younkin Success Center to leverage co-located support through Counseling and Consultation Service, Buckeye Careers and the Dennis Learning Center.

Completing college has a broad impact on an individual’s long-term success, well-being and happiness, yet many students struggle to succeed in classes because their essential needs, such as food, housing or clothing, are not met. The Office of Student Life addresses this through the Monda Student Resource Center.
